Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

The fragrance of Provence

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is a pretty village in the Alpilles, typically Provençal with its plane-tree shaded boulevards, its café terraces and its narrow streets that lead to small squares with flowing fountains. On market days, the streets of Saint-Rémy are filled with scents of thyme and rosemary, a leap back in time to the Provence that Marcel Pagnol reminisced about in his work.
